jo malone english pear & freesia

Just the name 'Jo Malone' gives a sense of pure luxury, elegance and an all-round niceness. I'd heard words of Jo Malone's perfume only a few times in Bloggerland but a few weeks before Christmas, I notice that hundreds of men were walking out of Debenhams with these gorgeous Jo Malone bags so I couldn't resist popping in for a nosy of what the fuss was all about.

JO MALONE ENGLISH PEAR & FREESIA
The scent is incredibly fresh but light. It also lingers for a good few hours before the need for a touch-up and is so sophisticated and elegant. The fragrance is actually meant for Autumn but I'd happily wear it all throughout the year with no problems. It is described as "The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods. A luscious golden scent."

The thing that put me off buying into the Jo Malone range is the price - it's crazy expensive. This 30ml bottle cost £39 and the full 100ml bottle was £78. How is a teenage girl supposed to buy into a collection like this? It's so tormenting walking past the counter and knowing you're just going to tease yourself, knowing you can't buy anymore. It's a sad feeling, trust me.

Another thing that I'd like to add is how amazing the customer service was when I was buying this. The staff are immaculately dressed and the way they package the product is exquisite. The bows are neat and tied and you leave with a gift bag smelling of a fragrance hall. It doesn't get much better than that! Next on my list is Orange Blossom... I need to stop tormenting myself.

What's your favourite fragrance?

  3. These Jo Malone fragrances all sound so lovely, hopefully I will be able to try one this year. There are so many to choose from though which could delay my choice.

  6. Loveeee Jo Malone - I was recently bought this by work colleagues but in the Peony, Suede pink blush scent... before that I'd never really delved into the products. As soon as I received it, I went into the shop and all the scents smelt divine. Orange Blossom is 100% next on my list too - I sprayed it on a tester card and the scent lasted literally for about 5 days no joke!
