burts bees essential kit

Thursday, January 02, 2014
Now that we're full-whack into Winter, everything from tip to toe needs a little TLC. Burts Bees is a brand that I've not tried before but their essential kit has become one of my go-to kits for keeping my skin in tact. It's also a really nice gift set/wrap up for someone's birthday and it has everything from hand cream and lip balm to foot cream and a deep cleansing cream.

My favourite product out of the bunch has to be the Beeswax lip balm. I mentioned it in my Top Skincare Products of 2013 and said that it's rich, moisturizing and smells good. It really hydrates my lips and is a really handy product to just throw in your bag if a long day of shopping in the cold is ahead of you! I wasn't too over-awed by their Hand Salve, however. It's really hard to open (especially with acrylic nails!) and I'm not too keen on the smell.

I much prefer the Milk and Honey Body Lotion and although rather waxy, it didn't leave a residue on my skin which is always a bonus! The consistency isn't my favourite - I much prefer buttery type lotions but the smell didn't offend me and I think I would actually buy this individually. The Cleansing Cream wasn't the best cleanser I've ever tried but I'd happily use it if there was nothing else left. I'd probably take this if I'm staying overnight somewhere and just needed a quick and easy-to-pack cleanser.

I'm awfully sorry but I just couldn't try the Foot Cream for this review. Anything to do with feet just grosses me out and the thought of cream in my toes makes me want to vomit. If you're a Burts Bees lover than this is definitely a good investment - the products individually would cost £47.65 and the kit which includes mini-sized versions comes in at a mere £12.99. It's also on sale for £7.79 at the moment so now's the time to snap it up!

What's your favourite product for tips or toes?
