mac ravishing

Yet another MAC lipstick has been added to my collection, but I just can't help it. They're too good to resist. Plus, we've finally finished decorating and I've found the most perfect photography set up, which added to the list of excuses to write this post. I'm writing this on Sunday - the perfect time to catch up with The X Factor, a cup of tea and a good natter about my new favourite lipstick. 

Ravishing is one of my favourite MAC lipsticks; probably because I've never seen another lipstick similar to it (which is rather unusual). It's the most beautiful coral shade with a Cremesheen formula. This basically means it's really comfortable to wear, sheer and light. It's described as a "clean light peachy coral" and I couldn't have put it any better myself. It's perfect for summer months but I love wearing it in Winter for something a little different.

As with all Cremesheen formulas, the wear time isn't the best. It lasts a good 2-3 hours before reapplication is needed but as I've said previously, I don't mind touching it up because it's a gorgeous shade. It also looks great against my extremely ill-lookingly pale skin tone which is always a big thumbs-up for me. The only thing I do not like about this is that it does show up the dry patches on my lips, so exfoliation and good care is a must.

Overall, a really comfortable and lovely lipstick for everyday wear. I would definitely recommend. What do you think?
